Urinalysis

What Does
Urinalysis Consist Of?

A urinalysis is a routine test that displays both the physical and chemical properties of urine. Common things that we look for in a urinalysis are infection, crystals, the concentration and pH of urine, and blockages. Substances that can be detected by urinalysis are protein, glucose, ketones, blood, urobilinogen, bilirubin, and/or sediment. We can collect urine by mid-stream free-flow, catheterization, or cystocentesis.
