Dr. Anita Varga Veterinarian

Dr. Anita Varga is a board-certified veterinarian with a strong background in internal medicine and a deep passion for all kinds of animals. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany, and completed advanced clinical training at The Ohio State University, including an internship, residency, and a Master of Science degree focused on large animal internal medicine.

Dr. Varga has held clinical and academic positions at leading institutions such as UC Davis and the Royal Veterinary College in London, U.K.. Although she began her career in livestock medicine, she has since transitioned fully into small animal practice—where she enjoys building lasting relationships with pets and their families. She takes pride in offering care that is both compassionate and tailored to each pet’s unique needs.

Her professional interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, senior pet wellness, and client education. Dr. Varga is known for her energetic, approachable demeanor and her dedication to making every visit as stress-free and informative as possible.

After spending 11 years in California, Dr. Varga relocated to Jacksonville, where she now lives with her daughter and a lively menagerie—six parrots, five dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, gardening, spending time near the water, and making memories with her daughter.
